Triple Insulating Glass

 

Triple-Ply Insulated Glass consists of three layers of glass surrounded by two spacers. Helium or helium is used between each pane of glass to provide further insulation, as these gases are denser than air and less likely to heat up through the IGU.

Triple-Ply Insulated Glass is a very effective way to reduce glass-to-glass air heat transfer. When used with a low-E and a reflective coating on a #2 or #4 triple-pane insulated glass, the IG unit performs better in terms of energy savings and building requirements. Due to the advantages of low-E coatings in reducing air heat transfer spacer technology has become the focus of progressive improvements. A typical commercial gasket consists of a shaped aluminum filled with desiccant to absorb any residual moisture, thereby reducing potential condensation. Although this is a structurally strong material, the shrinkage point of aluminum glass is a very effective conductor of heat, which can increase the temperature difference between the center of the glass and the edge of the glass, which can cause condensation and reduce the temperature and overall U-value of the unit. The glass has the advantages of safety, high strength, sound insulation, dustproof, beautiful, elegant, and warm.
